Prices, Terms and Conditions and How to Book
PRICES:
Altitude does not list prices on the website as we quote for each event based on the details of that particular event. Please contact us with the following information so that we can provide you with an accurate quote:
- Piece(s) of equipment/type of session required
- Hire Date(s)
- Hire Location
- Event Running Times
- Intended Useage (so that we can gauge staffing requirements and allocate the correct number of instructors)
- Will there be a power supply?
Should several pieces of equipment be hired at once or for several days we can probably offer a better rate as we may be able to save on staff or transport costs.
HOW TO BOOK:
1). Phone or e-mail to check availability and to obtain a quote for your event.
2). Read the relevant booking conditions below.
3). Print off a booking form and return it with the agreed and invoiced payment.
4). Sit back and count down the days until Altitude arrive and help make your event a success!!

ALTITUDE'S BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General Booking Conditions for ALL our Activities:
- Full payment must be received at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.
- Cancellations must be notified in writing, at least 30 days prior to the intended booking and will incur a 25% fee. Late cancellations will be subject to the full fee.
- Altitude’s staff are entitled to work in a safe environment. If this should become a problem, we reserve the right to suspend the activity.
- We reserve the right to send away any person who is found to be unmanageable or a danger to the safety or enjoyment of others. No refund will be given.
- Safety is paramount and all participants must accept that the decision of the instructor is final and at all times accepted by the participants.
- If the booking is on behalf of a school, it is your responsibility for gaining parental permission, and medical information where necessary. If is also your responsibility to inform the County Council and the EVC where necessary.
- No one under the influence of drink or drugs may use ANY of our equipment.
- Altitude does not provide waterproof clothing so please ensure clients bring the appropriate clothing with them.
- Altitude reserves the right to substitute hired equipment with equipment of a similar type and value in the event of damage or loss of pre booked equipment.
- Once sited, equipment will not be moved. The collection time stated is the time that we can drive onto the event and start breaking down.
- In the event of traffic or other uncontrollable circumstances preventing us from being able to fulfill our contractual obligations our liability is limited to a refund of any monies paid in relation to the contracted event or a pro rata reduction in the hire fee in the event of a delayed start. No further compensation will be paid.
- In the event of any damages or loss caused by participants to property or equipment in use (except for wear & tear) the client will be charged the full replacement cost.
- Altitude reserve the right to cancel, alter, or delay any booking where forced to do so by circumstances beyond our control, such as serious illness, terrorism, severe weather or any other circumstances which would subject Altitude or any of its employees or participants to danger.
- No liability is accepted for loss or damage to property belongings to any participants including clothing, cameras, watches, phones, etc.
- No liability is accepted for personal injury or death of any participants however caused unless by proven negligence of Altitude.
- Any congestion charges, parking fees or other tolls that are not quoted for will be liable for payment by the client.
- Bookings can only take place on private land with the landowners permission.
- All users must be able to understand spoken English for the safety briefings.
- For activities where helmets are required, those who refuse or cannot wear a helmet may not partake in the activity.
- Altitude is not responsible for any damage to the ground surface from our equipment.
- Activities should not be used during pregnancy or by anyone with previous relevant medical history.
Climbing Wall Conditions:
- Climbers must weigh between 3.5 and 18 stone (22 and 110kgs).
- Please ensure that you have consulted the trailer dimensions (2.75m wide, 2.75m high and 10m long) to check that we will be able to gain access to your venue and that the site is suitable for setting the wall up on. The wall needs to be located on firm FLAT/LEVEL ground with a pitch size of at least 8m frontage and 15m depth with no overhead wires or low hanging trees. We drive in one of the 8m sides and out the other 8m side so we cannot be penned in on these 2 sides. We cannot gain access up steep slopes with sudden gradient changes as the trailer will ground out.
- The climbing wall is fully weather resistant but it is not considered to be safe practice to use in periods of heavy rain, when wind speeds exceed 30mph or during lightning storms. We therefore reserve the right to suspend climbing during periods of extreme weather.
Segway Booking Conditions:
- Riders must weigh between 7 and 19.5 stone (45 and 117kg).
- The Segways are fully weather resistant but Altitude reserves the right to suspend activities in periods of prolonged heavy rain or if the ground becomes too slippery, ie: if icy. If the temperature is below 10 degrees we may require a power supply to start the machines.
- For a pair of Segways, we require a flat/level area at least the size of 2 tennis courts with no obstructions.
- Ladies in high heels will need to remove their shoes to ride.
Powerturns, Honda Pilots, Blindfold Driving and Reverse Steer Conditions:
- Powerturn drivers must be over 16yrs old. However, 12-16yr olds can be taken for passenger rides by our instructors.
- Honda Pilots, Reverse Steer and Blindfold Drive drivers must be over 18yrs with full driving license.
- We require a flat open area at least the size of a football pitch with no obstructions or hazards that could be hit for each motorised activity that is hired.
Inflatables Conditions:
- The age limits are 3yrs for HTF and Bungee Run. Minimum of 5yrs for the Inflatable Obstacle Course and 6yrs for Laser Tag. Inflatable Volleyball, Gladiator Duel and Sumo Suits is 8yrs. Adults cannot fight against children on the Gladiator Duel or the Sumo Suits or use the Obstacle Course at the same time.
- All require one power supply (mains or 6.5kVa generator). We cannot run extension cables more than 75m.
- The Bungee Run, Sumo Suits, Inflatable Volleyball and Gladiator Duel cannot be used in the rain.
- The HTF requires a flat area of 20m x 10m and it stands at 2.5m in height. Volleyball requires 15m x 13m and 5m height. The Bungee Run requires 15m x 8m and stands at 3m in height. The circular Sumo Arena requires 8m x 8m. Gladiator Duel requires 9m x 9m with at least 3m head room.
- Due to the size and weight of the HTF, Laser Tag, Inflatable Volleyball, Bungee Run and Gladiator Duel inflatables (rolled up they are about 1.5m x 1m x 1m), please contact us with any possible access problems such as stairs, narrow doorways, etc.
- Laser Tag requires a 15m x 15m area with 3m headroom.
- Maximum wind speed for Inflatables to operate safely on grass is 25mph.
Giant Garden Games and Crazy Golf Conditions:
- If the Garden Games or Crazy Golf are hired unsupervised, it is the hirers responsibility to ensure that all parts are returned complete and intact. If parts are lost or broken, it is the hirers duty to pay for these to be replaced.
Archery, Pistols, Air Rifles and Laser Clay Conditions:
- Laser Clays require an area of grass at least 20m x 40m but ideally larger if possible. Archery requires an area of grass 100m x 50m. Pistols requires 5m x 10m depth with a 25m overshoot behind. Air Rifles require 10m x 25m depth with a 25m overshoot behind.
- There are no age restrictions for laser clays but users must be strong enough to hold the gun themselves. Archery is 8yrs and above, Pistols and Air Rifles are 10yrs and upwards.
- None of these sessions will operate in times of thunder and lightning for safety reasons.
Giant Scalextric Conditions:
- We require an undercover area with a smoothe floor and a power supply for this 4m x 2m attraction.
- The set is transported as heavy 1.5m x 2m boards, please contact us with any possible access problems such as stairs, narrow doorways, long distances to walk, etc.
